After a courageous 18-month battle with pancreatic cancer, our beloved Shawn passed away at just 48 years old. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Sara, a kindergarten teacher, and their three incredible children: Jackson, a rising junior at Washington State University; Ellee, a high school senior; and Molly a fifth grader.
Shawn was the kind of person who never met a stranger—his warmth, humor, and generosity made everyone feel like a lifelong friend. He adored his family and poured his heart into supporting kids in the community through years of coaching youth sports. His impact was far-reaching and lasting.
Throughout Shawn’s illness, the family chose not to ask for financial help. But now, with his passing, the burden of day-to-day living expenses, college tuition, and simply keeping things afloat has become overwhelming. The cost of treatment and medical care over the past 18 months exhausted the family’s savings—funds that were meant to support their kids’ college education and future.
We are asking for your support to help ease this financial strain and give this wonderful family the stability and peace they deserve in the months ahead. Any contribution—big or small—will make a meaningful difference as they navigate this new chapter.
Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, and for honoring Shawn’s legacy of love, community, and compassion.
