Help Support Veronica Maghami and Her Family Through a Time of Deep Loss

Many of you know Shawn and Veronica Maghami — a couple whose warmth, kindness, and vibrant presence have been a part of our lives since the days of Nippers, Gatsby's, and Bash in Boca. Shawn, with his infectious smile and generous heart, made everyone feel like family. He and Veronica were soulmates, and would have celebrated 28 years of marriage this October. Together, they raised two beautiful children, Mychael and Aliyah.

Last Thursday, Shawn passed away from colon cancer at just 60 years old. He fought hard — not because he feared death, but because he loved life, and more than anything, he wanted to stay here for his family.

As if this loss weren’t already unimaginable, Veronica also lost her mother in January after a long struggle with dementia. She cared for her mother and Shawn at the same time, sacrificing everything to support them both during their final months.

Now, in the midst of deep grief, Veronica and her children are facing the heartbreaking challenge of having to move out of their home by September. The weight of funeral costs, medical bills, and everyday expenses has become overwhelming.
