In Memory of Shantel: A Mother's Love
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alize Jones, and I am the oldest daughter of Shantel Oglesby. On Monday, February 24, 2025, my sister Janiyah witnessed a heartbreaking moment that no child should ever have to see—our mother, the heart of our family, lost consciousness. Janiyah bravely called 911, trying to save our mom, and she was rushed to Doylestown Hospital. Unfortunately, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, we were given the devastating news that our mother had been pronounced brain dead.
Our mother was our everything. While our father is still alive, he was always absent, and we leaned on our mom for love, support, and guidance. She endured so many hardships in her life but still managed to pour love into those around her every single day. My mother’s kindness was unmatched. She was the foundation of so many people’s lives, and I feel so blessed to have inherited that incredible characteristic from her.
She taught us strength, vulnerability, empathy, and the importance of kindness. She showed us how to be loving, patient, and compassionate, even when she carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. No matter what she went through, she always ensured we had the best quality of life and always put others first.
As we try to cope with the unimaginable pain of losing her, we are asking for help to cover the costs of her hospital stay, medical expenses, and funeral services. Any donation, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated. Cash donations are also acceptable. If you’re unable to donate financially, even offering food or support in other ways would mean the world to us.
Our mother was a best friend, a daughter, a wife, and most importantly, she was a mother. She meant everything to us, and we are at a complete loss without her. We are so grateful for any support during this difficult time. Thank you for helping us honor her legacy.
With love,
Alize Jones & Family.
