In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful.
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.
In memory of our beloved brother Hasnaat Shahrukh Hussain who sadly passed away in Pakistan in the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan.
Shahrukh left this temporary world and returned to his creator at the very young age of 21. A son, grandson, brother and uncle who was always full of life. Shahrukh would light up a room with his radiant smile and presence. Many who had the privilege of knowing Shahrukh will vouch as to what a kind, caring and above all what a loving person he was.
He was always so willing to help others and we want to continue his legacy by building water wells in Pakistan the country where he now rests, to help those in need of the most basic necessity - clean water. All donations will be donated as Sadaqah Jariyah* in Shahrukh’s name.
*Sadaqah is a voluntary charitable act in Islam. The donation counts as one good deed for the giver. Sadaqah Jariyah is special: It is an ongoing donation. The recipient will benefit more than once and it is believed that this good deed will continue to reward the giver – even after their death. For example, if you give someone in need something to eat that is Sadaqah and it will benefit that person in that moment. But if you are building a water well where people regularly draw water that is a Sadaqah Jariyah. A water well will benefit people for generations and in return it will continue benefiting the giver for their whole life and even after their death. It is truly the gift which keeps on giving.
May Allah (SWT) grant mercy on his soul, forgive any of his shortcomings and expand and illuminate his grave, give him angels to accompany him so he doesn’t feel alone and allow every act of goodness we do that was inspired by Shahrukh to be his Sadaqah Jariyah. May he be granted the status of a shaheed and the highest rank in paradise without trial. Ameen.
