In Loving Memory of Serapio Nambo Sr.
Our beloved grandfather, Serapio Nambo Sr., was born on September 1, 1925, and proudly reached the incredible milestone of 100 years old last year. He lived a long, meaningful life rooted in hard work, love for family, and service to others.
Serapio and Carmen settled in South Sacramento on 34th Avenue, where their journey and the foundation of our family story truly began. Those early years shaped the values of resilience, unity, and perseverance that he passed down through generations.
He was a proud member of the Laborers Union Local 185, where he believed deeply in fairness, dignity, and supporting his community. He was also a devoted father to eight children, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather whose love, wisdom, and strength shaped our family in countless ways.
We are raising funds to help cover end-of-life care and funeral expenses, which can be overwhelming for any family. Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial burden during this difficult time and allow us to focus on honoring his life and legacy.
In addition to this GoFundMe, we will also be accepting in-person donations at Thirtyfour Mexican Cantina, 1100 O St, Sacramento, CA 95814, a Sacramento based restaurant opened by his youngest son, Serapio Jr. The restaurant honors our family’s story and roots on 34th Avenue, serving as a living tribute to where it all began and the legacy Serapio Sr. built.
We would be deeply grateful if you could share this page and keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, love, and support as we honor and remember an extraordinary man.
