In Memory of Selvam: Support for His Loved Ones
Donation protected
We are heartbroken to share that our beloved father, Panneerselvam Nachimuthu, passed away on May 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with severe lung complications.
He was 57 years old (his birthday was May 19) — a kind, deeply spiritual man who lived a quiet and humble life devoted to his family. He was a pillar of strength, a source of calm, and the heart of our home. A loving husband to our mother for 31 years, and a devoted father to my sister and me, he was someone who never asked for much, but gave us everything — his love, his time, and his unwavering presence.
Our dad had been living with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), a chronic lung disease, for several years. Just a few weeks ago, he developed Pneumocystis pneumonia, a rare and aggressive infection that led to sudden and severe respiratory failure. He was admitted to the ICU at UT Southwestern in Dallas, where he was placed on a ventilator and full ECMO life support. The hope was that with time and treatment, his lungs would recover.
He fought with incredible strength. Over the course of his hospitalization, he endured two heart emergencies, multiple organ complications, sedation, and some of the most intensive care possible. Our family never left his side. We believed in him — and he held on for us — but despite the heroic efforts of the ICU team, his body could no longer carry on.
This fundraiser is being organized by a close family friend to help support our family with the significant medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and to ease the emotional and financial burden on our mother as she begins life without her soulmate of over three decades.
If you are able to contribute, please know that your support — no matter how big or small — means the world to us. Your generosity will help us honor his memory with the dignity and love he deserved.
We miss him deeply, but his kindness, faith, and quiet strength live on in us. Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
