Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
We are devastated to share that our beloved Sebastian Celaya Salcido, a vibrant 25-year-old adventurer and deeply cherished friend, passed away tragically following a snowboarding accident in Mammoth Lakes, California. Sebastian was airlifted to Reno, Nevada, where despite the efforts of medical teams, he suffered irreversible brain damage. In his final act of selflessness, Sebastian, a registered organ donor, will give the gift of life to others bringing hope and healing to families facing their own battles. This legacy of compassion is helping us all find a glimmer of light in this profound loss.
Sebastian was a bright light in the lives of so many. A devoted son and brother, a loving and proud dog dad, and an incredible, irreplaceable friend to all who knew him. He lived with boundless energy and had a rare ability to make people laugh, feel seen, and feel loved simply by being himself.
We are raising funds to support Sebastian’s family with the unexpected expenses that come with such a sudden loss. These funds will help cover medical and transport costs, funeral and memorial arrangements, and allow his loved ones the time and space to grieve without the added weight of financial stress. An allocation of the funds will also be dedicated to supporting his younger sister’s college tuition, an investment that reflects Sebastian’s love and drive for education and family.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease this burden and honor Sebastian's spirit of giving. In this time of sorrow, Sebastian's choice to donate reminds us that love always endures. Thank you in advance for your kindness.
With gratitude,
The Lenzkes Family
