Tyne to Tartan 100 miler - in memory of Sean Crawford

I started working with Sean after reading an article on the BBC (see below).

In November, Sean and I planned to complete Haddington Parkrun as a challenge for him and to raise funds for two charities - Action Cerebral Palsy and Dadswork, both organisations close to Sean's heart.

Sadly, Sean passed away in June, so I'm planning to complete the event in his memory, raise funds and raise awareness of taking care of both your physical and mental health - things Sean had asked for my help and support with.

I'll complete the Newbiggin by the Sea Park run on Saturday, November 2nd, and continue running up the Northumberland coast towards Scotland.

I plan to complete the Meadowmill Park run on Saturday, November 9th (it starts at 9:30 a.m.), bringing my weekly mileage to 100 miles. Sean played football in his youth at Meadowmill, which is the closest parkrun to where he lived in Haddington.

I plan to utilise the Couchsurfing app for free digs to minimise costs, which could be interesting!

One of Sean's closest friends, Robbie, suffered from Cerebral Palsy and sadly passed away.

Action Cerebral Palsy works to improve outcomes for children and young people with cerebral palsy and their families by raising public, professional and political awareness of the condition and by lobbying for improved clinical and educational practice and provision at national and local levels.
