Help Bring Santosh Bohara Home to Nepal
We are deeply saddened to share the tragic loss of our dear friend Santosh Bohara, who passed away in a devastating accident near Pascoe Vale in Melbourne on the early morning of September 11th. Santosh was a bright, hardworking student from Nepal, here in Australia on a student visa, striving to build a better future for his family back home.
Santosh is still under investigation with the Coroner’s Office. He had no immediate family in Australia, and his sudden death has left his loved ones in Nepal in unimaginable grief. As his close family and wife are back in Nepal, we are doing everything we can to honour his memory and fulfil the final rites according to his family's wishes and cultural traditions.
Our Goal We are raising funds to repatriate Santosh’s body to Nepal so his family can perform the last rituals and say their final goodbyes. This process is emotionally and financially overwhelming, and we are facing significant hardship in covering the costs of transportation, documentation, and funeral arrangements.
Santosh was not just a student—he was a son, a husband, a brother, and a friend who carried the hopes of his family with him. He worked tirelessly while studying, always putting others before himself. Now, in his absence, we want to ensure he receives the dignity and respect he deserves.
How You Can Help Any contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. Your support will help us bring Santosh home and give his family the chance to grieve and honor him properly.
Please share this campaign widely. Together, we can help Santosh find his way back to the people who loved him most.
Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity.
