After being let down by health professionals, Samantha Jones was diagnosed with life threatening cancer just 8 weeks ago. Sam started radiotherapy to try and shrink the tumours in her brain to give her more time. During this, the cancer in other parts of her body caused an internal bleed. Sam spent the last 2 weeks making memories with her children, brothers, friends & nieces and nephews. Thanks to East Lancs Hospice, her children were able to walk away with some beautiful memories.
Samantha sadly passed away on Monday 2nd June. Leaving 4 children, aged 13, 17, 20 and 27. With how quick this all happened, unfortunately there was no time for financial support to be put into place and her children are now left with an expensive funeral bill. Samantha was an incredible person inside and out, who over the last 10+ years has cared for her daughter after she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. Her daughter has recently undergone a successful kidney transplant just before her mums diagnosis. This is now her daughter’s time to shine and live the life she always should have, which her Mum is now sadly going to miss. As well as watching the rest of her children achieve milestones in their future. We, as a family, are not ones to ask for help, but as you can imagine, amongst the grief, worrying about paying for the funeral costs is weighing heavy. Please, if you can contribute at all, it would be greatly appreciated. If we are lucky enough to go above our target, the rest will be given to her children to help them start their new normal without their very loved and missed Mum.
**UPDATE**
Thank you so much for all your donations so far, the support for these beautiful children has been incredible. Samatha was so loved and to see so many people care and show their support has been amazing for all the family.
We now have the bill for the funeral, which is more than we originally thought it would be. Please keep sharing and donating where you can, so that her children can give her the send off she deserves
