In memory of Said Osman
A struggling family devastated by loss of son
The life of an ambitious young man, Said Osman was cut short when he drowned in the Clackamas river last week May,23,2017.
His body was recovered this morning (5/30/17) after a week-long search. His family not only suffered this tragic loss but had to wait until his body was found. His Janaza prayer is scheduled tomorrow at 1:30 PM? at Masjid Assaber. Islamic Center of Portland 10323 SW 43rd Ave, Portland, OR 97219.
Said was a good caring young man who was also the sole provider for his family. His single mother Amina, is disabled from severe burns over the majority of her body. Amina struggles to accomplish even the most basic tasks of caring for herself and Said’s younger brother. Said was an important help with tasks such as combing her hair, cooking, cleaning and taking both outside and inside tasks.
Said also helped to take care of his young 13 year old brother, Mohamud. He was like a father to Mohamud providing support and guidance through many struggles.
This loss has devastated the family. They not only lost their loved one, but are also left struggling to make ends meet. We wish to collect financial assistance to address the many needs of Said’s mother and the younger brother.
