My name is Someswara Rao Kola, and our beloved friend Sai Karthik Varma Datla tragically lost his life in the plane crash near Butler, Missouri, on June 14, 2026.

Sai Karthik Varma Datla came to the United States as part of the January 2023 intake, hoping to build a better future for himself and his family. He recently completed his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Missouri.

Sai Karthik was a hardworking, kind, and determined person who always cared deeply about his family. He worked tirelessly to achieve his goals and dreamed of supporting his loved ones and giving them a better life.

Tragically, Sai Karthik lost his life in the plane crash near Butler, Missouri, on June 14, 2026. This sudden and heartbreaking incident has left his family and friends devastated.

We are raising funds to provide financial support to Sai Karthik’s family during this difficult period. Andrea Hopkins, a close friend of Sai Karthik, has been designated as the beneficiary of this fundraiser and will be responsible for receiving and managing the funds on behalf of his family, ensuring they are used to support them during this difficult time.
