In Memory of Rye Heidinger

For those who know Tom and Lisa Heidinger, it’s impossible to imagine the heartache and heartbreak they are going through right now as parents. I have had many people reach out and ask what they can do to help. This is one small thing we can collectively do together to show our support and perhaps in some way, ease a fraction of their burdens.

It’s too hard to anticipate all the unexpected expenses they will incur so I hope this will help in some way. It doesn’t matter the amount, it’s the thought and gesture to show how much we care.

Here are some words from Lisa about Rye’s passing:

“We give our children birth knowing they will go on; it’s our purpose to prepare them, then step aside and love, sometimes from afar. I must see him as having moved, not ended. His favorite work, memorized, was “Invictus” with “I am master of my fate; I am captain of my soul.”

That he loved us all deeply and truly is certain.”
