In Memory of Ryan Long

Ryan Long was an individual of immense kindness, a phenomenal family man, and a great friend. In early September 2019 Ryan was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. To complicate matters he was also diagnosed with a rare mutation which caused complications with the Leukemia. After being diagnosed at a local hospital Ryan sought treatment at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He remained at MSK undergoing chemotherapy until November and was able to be home to spend the holidays with his family. He returned to MSK to undergo more chemo treatments and was able to receive a bone marrow transplant in March. Unfortunately, the transplant was quickly overtaken by the leukemia and Ryan was facing more chemo treatments. In early June he was rushed to the ICU at MSK due to complications. After getting them under control he faced a fungal infection which began attacking his body however Ryan kept up his spirits and continued to battle. By July of this year the doctors had informed him that despite their efforts the Leukemia was more aggressive than they had seen before. They informed Ryan and his wife that there wasn’t anything that they would be able to do to control the spread and were going to release Ryan to hospice care at home. On Wednesday, July 15th 2020 Ryan passed from this world at the age of 35. He was a dedicated, caring husband and father. As a member of IBEW Local #375 he was a master of his craft and a true professional. When not working he enjoyed his time coaching his sons or spending time with outdoor activities. He will truly be missed by all those he met throughout his life and left a void that can never be filled.   All proceeds will go to his family for their benefit during the tough times.   Thank you.

I apologize but apparently I must add the following or gofundme will put a hold on the fundraiser.
My name is Chris Kaufman and I was a co-worker of Ryan for quite a few years. He and I have been very close and worked together on a number of projects. The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for Meghan, Owen and Camden during this tough time. Meghan will be the beneficiary and will have complete control of all withdrawals to be used at her discretion to provide for her family.
