In Memory of Rudy Cordova
Rudy dedicated his life to celebrating and uplifting Chicano culture through art, food, and community. His vision helped shape Santa Ana’s cultural identity, from the Día de Los Muertos celebrations he helped grow, to his ventures with Suavecito and to his personal projects Calacas, Calacas Café, and Santos Pizza.
Rudy’s spaces reflected his love for community, tradition, and creativity. Above all, his greatest joy and legacy are his three sons — Rudy, Coby, and Joey.
Born and raised in Santa Ana, a Saddleback High alum, Rudy lived a life rooted in pride, connection, and giving back. Though his journey continues beyond this world, his spirit lives on in every celebration and every gathering that honors our shared culture.
Many in the community have reached out asking how they can help. We’re raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and give Rudy the farewell he deserves. Any contribution, big or small, is deeply appreciated.
May we continue his legacy of love, creativity, and community.
