It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ruben “Skooby”Almanza, a devoted father, proud veteran, and a man deeply loved by so many. His passing came far too soon and has left an immeasurable void in the lives of his son, family, friends, and all who knew him.

Ruben served his country with honor and dedication. Like many who have served, he carried unseen burdens from that time in his life. He faced challenges related to PTSD and depression, showing strength even in moments that were incredibly difficult. Above all, Ruben was a loving father. His family meant everything to him, and he showed his love in the ways he knew best—through his presence, his protection, and his unwavering care.

He was loved by many and will be remembered for his loud energy, witty comments, his loyalty, and the impact he had on the lives of others. His memory lives on through the love he gave and the people he touched.
