In memory of Ruben LaMarr Hughley Jr.

In loving memory of Ruben L. Hughley, a beacon of strength and love. Ruben's battle with a rare form of bladder (urachal adenocarcinoma) cancer began in June 2023, and his journey was one of unwavering courage and resilience. Despite the challenges he faced, Ruben fought with every ounce of his being until the very end. In the last weeks of his life, as he bravely battled in the hospital. On April 11th, Ruben made the heartfelt decision to return home on hospice care. Surrounded by his devoted wife, children, and friends, Ruben peacefully transitioned shortly after he returned home. He left behind a legacy of love and courage. The precious moments shared with him in those final hours were filled with love and memories that will forever be cherished.

As we mourn his loss, we are reaching out for support to alleviate the financial burden of funeral costs, as well as remaining medical expenses and to ensure his family's well-being during this difficult time. Any contribution, big or small, would be deeply appreciated as we honor Ruben's memory and support our family through this challenging period. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Celebration of life will be held April 27th at 2:00pm at his family's home in Goddard, KS.
