In Loving Memory of Roshon “RORO” Babb
Written by her daughter Alisha and son Jabrie
We are heartbroken to share that our beloved mother, Roshon, has passed away. She went by many names—because she meant so much to so many people. If you ever had the honor of meeting her, you know just how unforgettable her spirit was.
Our mama was one of a kind. She was the kind of person who lit up every room she walked into—with laughter, joy, and that signature sparkle in her eye. She was hilarious, always cracking jokes, always dancing, always singing—and always bringing people together. She was a friend, a best friend, a wife, a mother, and most of all, a genuinely good human being.
She had a heart of gold and a soul that touched everyone she met. Whether it was through her gift for doing hair or her love of cooking, she poured her love into everything she did. For as long as we can remember, she showed up with a hot meal, a warm hug, and a listening ear. She was the person people turned to when they needed comfort—and she never turned anyone away.
Born and raised in West Oakland, she carried that Oakland pride with her everywhere. A true Warriors fan and a true warrior in life, she faced everything with grace, strength, and love. She was light on her feet and full of fire—and we cherished her deeply.
We miss her more than words can say. Home will never feel the same without her. But we have each other, and we have the memory of her love, which will live on in all of us.
This GoFundMe is created in her honor, to help us give her the beautiful farewell she deserves. If you are able to support us through a donation, kind words, or simply by being present, we would be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for loving our mama. She loved all of you right back.
With love,
Her Family
