In memory of Ronson Vares

Aloha Family & Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I humbly share my brothers journey with you all. At the age of 13 Ronsons was diagnosed with NF2 (neurofibromatosis 2), an incurable disease that slowly takes over the nervous system with tumors. Through the years he has gone to the Mainland and Oahu to have many surgeries done by specialists to remove these tumors. In 2011, in the midst of health burdens, my brother was blessed with the gift of Fatherhood. His son, Ke'okolo-Lawai'a Vares, who has also been diagnosed with NF2, has been a very strong impact in my brothers fight with his horrible disease. Through the years the tumors spread to his legs and he could no longer walk anymore. It spread thru his whole body and eventually took his vision, his hearing and ability to talk. The tumors were in places that could no longer be removed. To see my brother who loved the outdoors, loved fishing, riding his dirtbike and simply being with his family & friends all of a sudden become bed bound, unable to communicate or care for himself truly broke out hearts. When doctors gave him a few weeks to live he proved them wrong & fought as hard as he could & lived another few months. On Tuesday June 6, 2017, at the age of 27, Ronson was called home to Heaven. It has been a long journey for him and our family. He truly is the Strongest person I know. He is our Miracle! With his service approaching & also wanting to follow the request of his son Ke'o to cremate his daddy & set him free in the ocean, We as his Family humbly ask for any donation big or small, any help to defer the cost of his services and all the expenses that have encured.
