In Memory of Ronnie Dixon: Your Kindness Matters
Donation protected
This angel on earth is now our angel in heaven. Ronald Earl Dixon, AKA 'Ronnie' to all who knew and loved him, was one of the greatest men to walk this earth -- and that is not hyperbole.
If you have met him, I don't have to tell you what an amazing man he was because you knew within an instant. So often we preach kindness in this world -- he embodied it.
Whether it was giving you the last 20 bucks in his wallet, picking you up from somewhere at 2 AM, helping you move, bringing in the neighbor's trash, or stopping in the pouring rain to help jump a stranger's car -- he made the world a better place with these simple acts of kindness that I'm sure we will hear countless more examples of in the coming days.
Sadly, he passed away after a grueling seven-week battle with illness in the hospital, leaving behind one of the most amazing, loving, thoughtful & beautiful families.
His wife Nika was by his side every step of the way, truly honoring the vows of 'in sickness and in health.' They would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on June 19th. Now, the love of her life is gone, and reality sets in, which includes costs that NO ONE grieving their husband should ever have to think about.
While we will never be able to take away the pain, we can help ease the burden of the inevitable and unexpected costs that are coming. If you love this family as much as I do, then you have no doubt been thinking about HOW you can help during this time. This is a great way to honor Ronnie with your own act of kindness -- and help take away some of the stress that comes with planning a funeral/medical costs, etc.
"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."
Side note: Nobody asked for this account to be created -- we are just doing what we know Ronnie Dixon would have done for any of you during a difficult time. Thank you so much for considering. Even sharing is helpful.
