I have been a friend of Ron and his daughter Angela, as well as his wife Karen, for 25 years, and suddenly we lost him to be our next angel. Ronald Lee Reitzel, 70, passed away on August 12, 2025, in Longs, South Carolina. Born on January 2, 1955, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Ronald lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Ronald was stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, during his military service. His time in the Army reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment—qualities that remained with him throughout his life.

Ronald was a devoted husband to Karen Reitzel and a loving father to his daughter Angela Williams. He shared a close bond with his son-in-law Justin Williams and took immense pride in being "Papa" to his grandchildren Samuel and Isabelle Williams. He is also survived by his sister Linda Paschel and sister-in-law Sharon Reitzel. He was preceded in death by his brother Pete Reitzel.

In his later years, Ronald fulfilled a long-held dream by moving to Myrtle Beach to embrace one of his greatest passions—golf. He played every chance he could, finding joy and peace on the greens. The beach also held a special place in his heart; he loved spending time near the ocean and listening to beach music that brought back fond memories and lifted his spirits.

Those who knew Ronald remember him as a hardworking man whose presence brought light into their lives. His warmth, humor, and unwavering support left a lasting mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
