Ron and Denise Etzig have been my neighbors since my wife and I moved out here in January of 2023. Truth be told, I wasn’t used to having neighbors at all, and I wasn’t sure how I felt about someone living that close. But I’m honestly glad it ended up being Ron and Denise.

From the beginning, they were good people. We watched out for each other’s properties, helped each other with vehicle repairs, and lent each other not just a hand, but anything from a tool to a cup of sugar when needed.

On Saturday, December 6th, Ron came home from work not feeling well. Denise took him to the hospital to get checked out, and he stayed overnight. The next morning, December 7, 2025, Ron passed away. It was sudden and completely unexpected.

Ron was the main provider, and his passing has left Denise facing not only the loss of her husband, but also the financial weight that comes with it. I’m starting this fundraiser to help cover the cost of Ron’s cremation and memorial, and to help Denise with basic living expenses as she tries to get through the days ahead.
