Roger was a great man with a big heart. He fought a long and hard fight against Parkinson’s Disease and had some great success, but ultimately it got the best of him. The last 6 months were particularly rough - several extended stays in the hospital, one final three-month stay in a nursing home, one week in hospice care, and he is gone. There is no way to fully prepare for the loss of a parent even when you know it’s coming.

Medical bills and related expenses rack up fast and although we are awaiting a final total, his current bills for the last months of life are hovering around $100,000 after insurance. It is our hope that this fundraiser will help our mom with some of the medical and end of life expenses.
