Roger's wife, Terri (Elder) works at FACES; his son Lance attends Risley Middle School where he is co-president of his class, and Amelia is a freshman at Glynn Academy where she loves being in the marching band. Roger and his sister, Heather, have owned Beachcomber BBQ since 2002, which is the oldest BBQ restaurant on the island, and the first restaurant in the area to be featured on the Food Network. Roger's brother, Jason, works at Georgia Pacific, and his wife, Audrey (Sheddy), is a teacher at Brunswick High. Roger has maintained his strong WV roots from where he moved with his mom, Sally, to St. Simons Island, GA, in 1985. He soon became a true Georgian, and his quick wit (plus unapproved skips from school to go fishing on the pier) earned him a lot of great friends who are helping him and his family with his final journey.
We, as a family, will get through this with your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate your kind words and acts of kindness and are overwhelmed by the amount of support and visits Roger has received during this time. If you are unable to contribute at this time, feel free to leave comments and please share this with your friends. Donations can also be made at Prime South Bank to the account for Terri K Hardman or dropped off at either Beachcomber BBQ or Moo Cow Ice Cream. Please continue to send your positive thoughts our way.
