“My Job, Is To Keep Martial Arts Alive”
– Chief Grand Master Rico Guy
For half a century, we lived through New York in the 70’s, the grimy, unforgiving times - unemployment and crime, three card monte, LSD+Heroin. Somehow, someway, a child born in Rahway, NJ and then from Staten Island, grew into a rose after having broke through the concrete. He blossomed in Manhattan. The 80’s was tough, John Lennon with four in the back, crack and cocaine, nothing came easy, not a nickel or a dime. Welcome to the 90’s, when the 1 or 9 subway would black out, when $2 movies were a real thing and don’t forget the infamous 96’ blizzard. 2000’s – Y2K, we should have been dead, computers were supposed to be the death of us, instead 9/11 blew our minds and changed our whole existence……...
You see, even meeting the horrific challenges,
CGM Rico Guy never did it for fame, not even for the dollar. His Martial Arts Dojo was not formed solely for profit. He took that journey and never wavered no matter how broken that road became, even at times when he couldn’t see the road, he still walked it with no complaints……..
They say you get 3 loves in one lifetime…
Unfortunately,
At Noon, April 10, 2020,
WE ALL LOST ONE OF OURS……..
This page was created to honor and in hopes to support the GUY FAMILY
Chief Grand Master Rico Guy
Unfortunately, CGM Rico Guy grew up not knowing what life insurance was, he gave his life knowing the only thing that was given to him, and that is service unto you. So now we ask for anyone and for everyone who knew him, to give service to him and his family in this great time of need.
All money paid will go towards Chief Grand Master Rico Guy Memorial Service at a date TBD and for his family and DOJO that he leaves behind.
We LOVE you!
