Family and Friends: It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I share the passing of an incredible husband, father, brother, and friend. Your outpouring of LOVE, support, and prayers for my family and me during this difficult time has been incredible. He leaves behind, a loving wife, Logan, his son and his greatest joy in life, and his 2 step daughters, Coco and Sloane as well as a loving brother, Johan. He also leaves behind an INCREDIBLE amount of friends. Richard was the absolute love of my life… I know how much he loved me and the family we created, and I know he knew how much I/we loved him. I had no idea… I mean absolutely NO IDEA... that he was suffering internally the way he was. He gave me no indication. I mean… I knew there were challenges , but… we all have challenges. He suffered in silence and unfortunately thought he was sparing us by not sharing those struggles. He was the love of my life and my heart is absolutely broken, however, I will not allow his death to be in vain. Check in!!! Check in with yourself and know you do not need to suffer in silence. There are people who love you and there are resources to give you support. Check in with your friends, family, and colleagues. If you do not personally struggle, know that there are a lot of people in your circle who are struggling. Be there for them, be an advocate for them, support them, love them, and let them know there is light at the end of the tunnel and life is worth living. I love each and every one of you for the role you play in my life and the role you played in Richard’s life. Some of you knew him and some of you did not, but he was one of the most loving, caring, compassionate, and selfless human beings in this world. I will miss him EVERY DAY of my life.
