Our loving and much loved husband, brother and son died after an heroic 4 year battle with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL) on November 2, 2021. He was just 33.

Richard was an old soul. Empathy, kindness and compassion were evident even as a child. He was introverted but never shy to let you know how he felt. A biting sarcastic sense of humor that spared no one. At times, his own best audience when those around him groaned and he just cackled. Snarky was just a part of who he was but never in a mean way. Everyone who met him saw the soul of the man he was and loved him.

Richard is survived by his wife, partner, best friend and caretaker Shaina Aryn (Wolfson). His beloved dog Mochi Bear and the king of all cats Balthy. He and Shaina shared so much in the short time they had together. She was the source of his strength, the calming of his fears and always the optimist that he would win. No parent could have asked for a more loving, caring and beautiful soul to care for their child in his final days.

Richard is also survived by his sister Christine Marie (Anders) and her beautiful daughter Emilia Daly.  He and his sister shared a childhood doted on by a father who simply adored them. That influence earned them both the monikers of JJ and JJ2. They learned from him the importance of honor, loyalty and integrity. Love was a verb whose actions spoke louder than any words could. They were and are very much his children. We are proud to call them our children.

Richard was the son of the late James Peter and Grace Catherine ( Przybylski). He was the combination of his parents, incredibly smart yet quirky. Hard headed and so stubborn that you just wanted to scream. He was the son that his father always hoped for and that his mother simply adored.

Richard is also survived by a large extended family. His most cherished childhood memories were of times spent in the house of his great grandparents Lofaro. There with Aunt Nicky, Uncle Tom, Aunt Denise and Tommy he and Christine found a home that gave them unconditional love, a safe place when drama reared its ugly head and comfort when their father died. Memories of their beloved late Aunt Jen filled that home and her voice simply saying Facia Bella rang in their ears. A part of his heart will always be there.

Richard was the much loved son-in-law of Marc and Mary Anne Wolfson, brother-in law to Jessica (Billy) and Laurel (Chris) and Uncle of Lawton, Lily, Cale and Lausen.

Richard had a loving circle of friends who always let him and Shaina know that they were not alone. They would have social distanced meetings just to see each other, laugh and say I love you. Group chats were their mainstay and an outlet for both Richard and Shaina. They so loved their friend that each got a tattoo in his honor. A simple act that speaks to the man he had become. His parents could not be more proud. Thank you Eddie, Jess, Kevin and Anthony.

There will be no services as he wished. Cremation will be private. In the future there will be an opportunity for friends and family to gather to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, we ask that contributions be made to defray funeral, medical and immediate expenses.
