Richard Boakye joined Wickes on the 29/03/2020 and soon became a big personality and a loved member of the store, by colleagues and customers. Richard soon became a Duty Manager in Wimbledon store and started to support in order fulfilment. Richard was very passionate about inclusion and diversity. Richard was featured in  #Openyourmind video at Wickes on the 9th Sep 2020 where Richard also participated as a voice over.

Richard played a big role in his store to increase deliveries from 60 to a 100 during lock down, whilst giving excellent service to our customers. Richard always displayed winning behaviours and truly encompasses what it is like working at Wickes. Not only the store but Wickes has now sadly lost a beloved member of our team on 25/04/22, after his short battle with Cancer.

In memory of Richard and to support Richard's family, we are raising money to support Richard's family. We will be doing a 3 peak challenge over 3 days starting on 16/05/2022. Please donate generously.
