In memory of Ricardo Samson

Hi everyone,  

I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Alice, Michael’s girlfriend and I set up this GoFundMe on behalf of the Samson family and this is his tribute.

Ricardo Samson, married to the lovely Alyce lived a happy life along with their three children, Rosa, Michael, and Richard. As the family man that he was... they moved from the Philippines to Florida and slowly moved their way to sunny California.  Ricardo worked hard to provide for his family and such a good job he did! They always had a roof over their heads and food on the table. He was the handyman of the house as to his cars and this wonderful talent was passed down to his sons'. Being the only daughter, Rosa was always treasured and loved a little more in his heart.

 I’ve only known Papa Samson for a while but in these short months, he proved to be the most caring and funniest guy.  He loved eating Pho but with egg noodles and when he had a sweet tooth, he'll look for chocolate brownies. He loved hanging out on the patio with us while watching on his phone. He loved making fun of Michael while sipping on his coffee. Most of all, he loved his family.

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over, 
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
Did you wonder in so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?

Every dark and fearful glade.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread;
And with Jesus' arm to lean on, 
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,

Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When the work is all completed,
he will gently call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

As their family and friends,  I know we all want to help out in this time of grieve. I'd like to request your donations so we can reach our goal of $10,000. It will cover the funeral services and more,  dated June 28th,
7-8 PM at Forest Lawn in Covina. 

Final expenses will be handed over to Alyce Samson
