We are heartbroken to share that our beloved father and grandfather, Ricardo Bangot Mahinay, passed away on June 14, 2025, at the age of 70.

Ricardo was a joyful, funny, and lighthearted man who brought laughter and warmth wherever he went. He especially loved karaoke and always found ways to make people smile, even during tough times. His presence lit up every room, and his energy was something our family will never forget.

Originally from Cagayan de Oro Philippines, Ricardo moved to the United States on March 27, 1994, with his wife and nine children. He retired back to the Philippines where he lived his final days.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Catalina Mahinay, nine children, and many grandchildren who cherished him deeply. To all of us, he was more than just “Dad” or “Papa”—he was the heart of our family.
