In Memory of Rhonda Richmond

My name is Lateefah Thomas. Like my mom, I was born in Guyana and migrated to St. Maarten.
On February 14, 2021, my mother, Ronda Richmond, was brutally and suddenly murdered in her home on St. Maarten.
My mom worked as a school teacher for over 26 years both in Guyana and St.Maarten. With 19 years at the Methodist Agogic Center in St. Maarten where she thought Handicraft to countless young pupils. She was also a team member of the Global Elite and the Maintenance team at the Sonesta Maho Resort. She was loved by many, from her past and current students and co-workers to employers who commended her for her hard work and dedication.
My beloved mother had a great passion for not only children, but also art, teaching, interior decorating, baking and helping others. My mom was a very hard working young woman who always carried a smile and did everything in her power to ensure my younger sister and I were always okay. It breaks our heart that someone had no regards for her life, her children or her many loved ones when they chose to take her away from us. My mom did not deserve the pain and suffering she went through, my mom did not deserve to die cold and alone on a floor, my mom did not deserve what was done to her, but she definitely deserves justice. Justice which we pray will be served!
The funds raised for my beloved mom will be used to deter funeral and burial expenses for the family.
Thank you for your meaningful contribution. God bless!
