In Memory of Renier

Hi, to all family and friends, it is with great sadness we let you know on behalf of the de Beers that Renier passed away peacefully on Monday 26th June 2023 at home as they always wanted. Renier, Suzanne, Caitlin and Kiera lived and dealt with the destructive ALS/ MND/ Lou Gehrig's Disease with amazing dignity and strength. Suzanne did not leave Renier's side throughout the journey and has been his full-time carer, wife and friend over the six years since diagnosis. The love this incredible family has for each other has been awe-inspiring. Now unfortunately the girls face a difficult road ahead, learning to live without their brave father and husband, adjusting to what life looks like without him and the practicalities of the financial hardship this will bring. So we would ask that instead of sending flowers or gift baskets to show your thoughts and love for Suzanne, Caitlin and Kiera, we ask instead that you consider a donation which will help give them a new start and a chance to begin to heal. We thank you all for your love, support and friendship over the years and may Renier now finally rest in peace.
