Hello everyone,
My name is Allison, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the heartbreaking loss of my mother, Raquel Ochoa, who passed away very suddenly on August 26, 2026, at just 51 years old.
My mom was the most amazing mother to my brother, Keven, and me. She was a strong, loving, and incredibly hardworking single mother who dedicated her entire life to making sure her children had everything we needed. She worked tirelessly cleaning houses and always put our needs before her own. She was our mother, our provider, and such an important part of our lives.
Over the past few months, my mom’s health began to decline. She needed oxygen and steroids just to help her breathe, and during her final weeks, she struggled to walk without becoming severely short of breath. Despite everything she was going through, we never imagined that we would have to say goodbye to her so soon.
Losing our mom so unexpectedly has completely devastated our family. We had so many more memories we wanted to make with her, places we wanted to take her, and things we had planned to do together. We simply weren’t ready to lose her. We find comfort in believing that God had other plans for our mom, but that doesn’t make this loss any less painful.
We created this GoFundMe to help my brother and me with the expenses that come with losing our mother, including her cremation and funeral costs. We are also facing financial challenges because our mom was the primary breadwinner in our home. On top of grieving this unimaginable loss, we are now trying to navigate the financial responsibilities she left behind and figure out how to move forward without her.
Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to us. Your generosity will help ease the burden of cremation expenses, rent, bills, and other essential living costs while we try to adjust to life without our mom. More than anything, your support will give us some much-needed breathing room during this incredibly difficult time.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community would mean just as much to us. Every share, donation, prayer, and kind message helps remind us that we are not alone.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for caring about our family, and for supporting us during one of the most painful moments of our lives.
With love and gratitude,
Allison & Keven ❤️
