In memory of Randy McCord

My name is Sherri Carter, I am fundraising for one of my team members and her family who are suffering a great deal at this time with the loss of their mother and father in this past week.

Loretta has worked for Walgreens for over 10 years and has been nothing but a loyal and dedicated team member. She has helped many fellow team members and customers in the small town we are in without ever asking or expecting in return. She has a heart of gold and it is shattered at the moment. I wanted to create this fund raiser primarily to send out to our Walgreens Family in hopes that we come together for her. I have already sent in an application to the Walgreens Benefit fund, but any and everything helps.

Loretta's mother, father, and uncle all ended up in the hospital at the same time. Two were related to covid. Her mother was on life support until surgeries were unfortunately proven to be ineffective and she passed away. Her family already did what they could with the expenses from her memorial. A week later her father took a turn for the worst and unfortunately also passed away. Given that there was already a large expense for her mom, her dad's funeral is proving to be more difficult on the family. Her uncle is still currently fighting in the hospital.

There isn't much I can do as a boss and friend to help her through this. My hope is that we show up as a Walgreens Family and also a community outside of work to show our care and sympathy. I couldn't imagine the loss of one parent, but the loss of two is beyond heartbreaking.
