Thank you so much for the generosity! We have met our goal. Anything over and above the funeral expenses will go to Rachael's daughter Teagan.
Rachael has left us much too soon. This is such a devastating, experience many people can't even comprehend; losing a child, a sister, a mother, niece, cousin, and a friend.
The following was written by Rachael's sister, Bridget.
"To my big sister- I woke up and was hoping this was all a nightmare. I can’t even imagine a world without you. Your humor and strength were two things I always admired. From sharing our tiny bedroom when we were little, to our stuffed animal fights and constant stupid arguments, you helped me become the person I am today. I would do anything to hug you right now, even though you’d probably make fun of me for crying this much. I never imagined a heartache like this even existed. I don’t understand why the best people need to leave us so early. But thank you for bringing my beautiful niece into this world, I promise to take care of her and be the best aunt and role model that I possibly can be. I can’t wait to tell her all of our inside jokes and memories. I hope you’re at peace now. Until we meet again I love you Rachael❤️"
Rachael's father, Frank, is taking on the responsibility of taking care of managing all the final expenses and needs some help from his family and friends.
We are looking to raise $6,000 to cover the costs of all the funeral expenses; i.e., autopsy, cremation, visitation, burial plot, and all other expenses associated with this.
With the Covid-19 crisis, the only money needed right away would be for the autopsy and cremation. The other money will be needed next month when services are available for the funeral.
With Gratitude,
The Gill Family
