Priscilla Torres, a happy, outgoing, young lady with a good heart. She was a Freshman at Barry University in Miami studying nursing and hoping to have a career in sports medicine.
On Saturday, February 10th her life was tragically cut short. She was first-reported missing by her mother. On Saturday morning, police said the 19-year-old was found shot in the street about 10 miles away from her dorm. Priscilla later died at the hospital.
This is one family's nightmare. Never could they imagine that the daughter they just sent off to college in the fall, full of excitement, dreams, and aspirations, would not be given the opportunity of a future. Her life was cut short due to a violent, unnecessary act. Never in their wildest dreams would they think they'd be making funeral arrangements for their teenage daughter.
The family is not asking for monetary support. Many people in the Naples community want to help but don't know how. As a community, let's come together and lift them up in prayer and with random acts of kindness. Any money collected will go towards funeral expenses for their daughter, Priscilla Torres.
Let's lessen their burden and show them that in this time of tragedy they are supported and good will prevail over evil.
