Dear Friends, Batchmates, and Well-Wishers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts to honor the memory of our dear friend, brother, and fellow KGPian, Pranjal, whose sudden and untimely departure in a tragic accident has left an irreplaceable void in our lives.

Pranjal was an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, whose journey was defined by grit, intellect, and purpose. Coming from humble, financially constrained beginnings, he broke the cycle of generational hardship through sheer brilliance and relentless determination. He chose not to take the easy road; instead, he dedicated his life to education, running Bansal Classes in Bokaro to ignite minds and open doors for the next generation. For his contribution and impact, he was honored with the Youth Icon of Jharkhand award. Beyond his commercial work, his heart lay in service - quietly teaching underprivileged children for free, helping them dream of futures they once thought were out of reach.
Running an independent educational venture came with immense operational challenges and financial exposure. Following his sudden demise, his family now faces an acute, unexpected financial burden. Pranjal leaves behind his resilient wife, Vandana, and their bright 7-year-old son, Luv.

While Vandana possesses remarkable inner strength and is determined to rebuild their lives, the path ahead is steep. As Pranjal’s close friends and IIT fraternity, we cannot let the son of a man who empowered hundreds of students fall behind due to a lack of resources. We owe it to Pranjal to ensure that Luv’s growth, education, and dreams remain entirely uninterrupted.

How the Funds Will Be Protected and Utilized
To ensure complete financial discipline, transparency, and longevity, every single rupee raised will be deployed into structured, ring-fenced instruments:
Luv’s Education Trust (Class 2 through Graduation): A formal, multi-trustee educational trust managed by Pranjal’s close family and friends will disburse school fees, coaching, and academic expenses directly to the institution (Delhi Public School, Bokaro) and subsequently fund his undergraduate college education.

Ring-Fenced Family Upkeep Annuity: A dedicated portion of the corpus will be placed into a structured monthly annuity/SWP. This will provide Vandana with an independent, reliable monthly financial cushion to cover routine household essentials and support Luv without acute stress.

How You Can Help
Pranjal dedicated his best years to lifting others up; now, it is our collective duty to stand by the family he cherished most.
Contribute: Any contribution, large or small, directly strengthens the foundation we are building for young Luv.
Share: Please amplify this appeal across alumni chapters, professional circles, and community groups.
All updates regarding the registration of the trust, allocation of funds, and disbursements will be shared transparently on this page.

Thank you for your generosity, empathy, and solidarity.

With gratitude,
Friends of Pranjal (IIT Kharagpur Fraternity)
