I never thought I’d be writing something like this.

Over the last few months, my cat Poppy became seriously ill during a really stressful time while I was moving house. What followed was one of the hardest periods I’ve ever been through.

I was caring for her day and night for a few months, giving medication, watching her closely, and just hoping she would get better.

During that time, I was incredibly lucky to have the support of Nikki from Feline Welfare.

Her help was immediate, practical, and genuinely caring. She guided me through everything — from getting treatment quickly to helping me understand what Poppy needed at each stage.

Im not in the best of physical health myself and with no transport her help was invaluable.

Without her, I honestly don’t know how I would have managed.

Sadly, Poppy passed away last weekend.

She was a huge part of my life, and losing her has been heartbreaking.

But I wanted to do something positive in her memory.

Feline welfare Isle of Wight help people and cats in situations like mine every day.

They step in when it matters most, and they make a real difference.

Nikki helped me up until the last moment when we sadly laid poppy to rest.

So I’m raising money to support them — so they can continue helping other cats and owners who are going through difficult times.
