In memory of Poppas Matthew Matheny Palacios

No parent should have to bury their 17 year old son, and unfortunately for my family, that is the devastating reality we are facing. On September 27th, 2026, my world changed forever when my little brother, Poppas Matthew Matheny Palacios, was taken from my family. Poppas was shot and killed at just 17 years old, leaving behind unimaginable heartbreak and a loss that words can’t express. Poppas was the life of the party, he was goofy, and his smile imprinted on everyone’s heart. He knew how to make the most out of nothing. He was our baby.

During this painful time, my family and loved ones are grieving while also facing the heavy burden of planning his funeral. This fundraiser is being shared to help cover funeral expenses for Poppas so his family can focus on mourning, remembering, and honoring his life.
