Philip J. Devane was an amazing husband, dad, son, brother, and friend. He was a Local 369 Eversource lineman and a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran. Phil was also very proud to be 'OFD'—Originally From Dorchester—in his hometown of Boston, where he was surrounded by an enormous circle of friends. Phil fought a valiant 2.5-year battle with cancer, always supported by his loving wife Shelley, daughter Brittany, and two sons, PJ and Tyler, both of whom are US Marine Corps veterans as well. The Marine Corps held a very special place in Phil's heart and was a source of his profound pride, courage, and fighting spirit.

In honor of Phil's memory and his dedication to service, we are asking for donations to 'Miles for Military.' This program offers active service members flights home to their families, helping them attend milestone events such as holidays, birthdays, or family gatherings. Many service members find it challenging to save enough money for these important trips, and Miles for Military provides eligible individuals the opportunity to get a flight home at no cost.
