In Memory of Pete Schmidt, A Gentle Giant
Donation protected
It is with sorrow, disbelief, heartbreak and sadness that we announce the passing of Pete Schmidt. There are not enough positive words in Webster's Dictionary to describe the man Pete was but we will try.
Pete was kind, loyal, dedicated, loving, quick to laugh, slow to anger, gentle, hard-working, family oriented and the most giving man. Pete was a big man, larger than life, but his shadow he cast always gave you a sense of warmth, a sense of safety, a sense of devotion and love. He would give you the shirt off of his back as long as it wasn't his beloved New England Patriots' jersey! At that point he would empty his wallet to buy you a new shirt because that's the kind of man Pete was.
Pete was a Customer Care Representative with Lennar Seattle Division, and took great pride in the work he did. He was a dedicated and hard-working associate who was extremely crafty and handy with his hands and tools. His passing leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of homeowners he assisted, his Lennar family, trade partners and many many others that he came into contact with.
Pete fought long and hard in ICU against the ravages of Covid-19, but he succumbed to the virus in the early morning hours of April 9, 2021. He leaves to mourn his wife of 29 years, Koko; his four children Austin, Alema, Alexx, Anela, and his fur baby, Anu. We are all so thankful for your prayers, phone calls, text messages and condolences on behalf of Pete's family.
Pete was the main financial provider in his family and his sudden and unexpected passing will leave a devastating effect on them. We are humbly asking for any financial donations you have in your heart to give that will help ease the insurmountable costs of hospitalization in Pete's fight against the virus, burial costs the family will incur, as well as leave Koko enough time to mourn and grieve the passing of her beloved husband.
Pete was a kind man, a loving man, a giving man, a father, husband, brother-in-law, friend, colleague, uncle, cousin, a son. To know Pete was to love Pete.
On behalf of the family, we thank you for your generosity, your thoughts, and your prayers.
With humble hearts,
Togalei Misa Gilbert, Sister-In-Love
