In memory of Paulo Ribenboim for REAL HAPPY FARM
Tax deductible
On July 20, 2012, my life changed forever when I lost my dad suddenly while he was surfing. Although I am still upset that I never got to say goodbye, I know he passed away doing what he loved. Since then, I have wanted to honor him in a way that truly reflects who he was—especially his kindness to people, animals, and the environment.
My dad was many things, but what stands out most is his kindness—towards family, friends, animals, and the environment. Something you may not know is that he was an Agronomy Engineer and loved gardening.
I first discovered Milla’s account when she had an Instagram dedicated to Pattycake and Wilbur, her adorable dogs. While in NYC she worked with local rescue groups in to foster and photograph adoptable dogs. After moving from NYC to Alabama to be closer to family, Milla and her family wanted to live on land with animals. When they got to the farm, they started promoting long-stay rescue dogs on Instagram and were thrilled to see them find homes.
Over time, they began rescuing other animals too—like goats, calves, a senior horse, and unwanted pigs. Now, four years later, Milla’s little Instagram account blew up into REAL HAPPY FARM. She and her family care for over forty animals who will live out their lives peacefully on the farm, and they have started both online and in-person education to teach others about caring for animals. For me, Real Happy Farm is a place of peace and joy.
With the 13th anniversary of his passing coming up, I decided to support Real Happy Farm in his honor. My goal is to raise $20,597—one dollar for each day my dad lived. If we reach this goal, Milla has agreed to plant a tree in his memory on the farm. This feels like the perfect tribute, supporting a cause I believe in and creating a living memorial for my dad.
I am asking friends and family to help me reach this goal, either by donating or sharing the campaign. Every little bit helps, and together we can honor my dad’s legacy of kindness in a way that feels truly special. Thank you for helping me keep his memory alive.
