In Memory of Pauline Cassidy: My leap for Pancreatic Cancer

For three years, my mum battled unexplained stomach pain. After multiple MRIs and mis-diagnoses, we received the devastating answer in March 2025: Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. It had already metastasised to her liver.

We had only 157 days from then. One hundred and fifty-seven days to say everything that needed to be said, to try chemotherapy treatments that could never save her. To watch a vibrant life be stolen from a phenomenal woman.

The cruelty of this disease is its silence. By the time symptoms appear, it is often too late. There is no early detection. Hope for a cure was gone from day one because Pancreatic cancer is vicious. It ambushes families, leaving them shattered. As the UK's fifth biggest cancer killer, over half of all patients are diagnosed at a terminal stage, just like my mum. These statistics are a failure and they have to change.

I’m raising money for Pancreatic Cancer UK to fund the research we desperately need—for early detection methods and effective treatments. Please, help me honour her fight.

(Please be aware that a % of funds raised will go towards the skydive costs)

Thank you.
