In Memory of Paul Brooke: Vet Talent Event
Tax deductible
This initiative is close to my heart, inspired by the memory of Paul Brooke. He was an Army Infantry veteran who struggled with the echoes of his service in Iraq and Afghanistan, ultimately losing his battle to those internal demons. He was also a drummer, but he never had the chance to showcase his talents to someone who could truly make a difference.
In honor of his memory, I’ve started Hollywood Post 43 Auxiliary Presents as part of my work with the Hollywood American Legion Auxiliary. This event series spotlights talented veterans, both onstage and behind the scenes. For our inaugural event, we had a script written by a professional screenwriter, VJ Boyd, who also has military affiliations. The production not only drew attention with its escapist themes but offers a cathartic experience for the veterans involved—channeling their creativity into something that could positively impact their careers and gain them recognition.
We are in need of funds to cover the operating costs and hopefully raise enough to have this as an ongoing event! Thank you for your time and consideration!
