In Memory of Papa Jorge
Donation protected
For those of you who have been blessed by knowing Papa Jorge, the main photo says it all. His family has always been important--even though the majority of them are far away in Ecuador, South America. The Hughes family (daughter Elsa) was fortunate to have Jorge's second youngest brother, Alonzo, come visit him in Albuquerque before his passing; they had not seen each other in over 30 years.
In honor of his legacy of kindness and peace, we ask that you support an organization which was near and dear to his heart: Los Padres Josefinos. They provided him a basic education when he was a poor indigenous boy in Quito, Ecuador; to this day, they continue helping the Quechua people in the same jungle region he grew up and served as a young adult. It was a life-long goal of his to leave in his will $10,000 for this small church. We are proud to say that his family helped him to save his finances over 11 years to make this wish happen while he was alive to see his desire come to fruition. Please join us in continuing to bless those less fortunate to make a better life for others like Papa Jorge has his entire life.
100% of the proceeds will be sent to Los Padres Josefinos, along with a dollar-for-dollar matching donation from the Hughes family.
