In Loving Memory of Owen Schroeder: Supporting Second Chance Pet Adoptions
On October 10, 2020, Laura and Josh Schroeder of Holly Springs lost their son, Owen, to an unexpected tragedy. Owen was a happy, active four-year-old with a great sense of humor and a love of animals, particularly his family's golden retriever, Rambo. As this October marks four years since his passing, it also marks an especially challenging moment for his family and friends.
In honor of Owen's memory, Josh and Laura wish to turn some part of their sadness into a celebration of Owen’s life by raising funds for a cause that would have brought Owen joy: helping animals in need. They have partnered with Second Chance Pet Adoptions, a local animal rescue, to raise funds in Owen's name.
We invite you to join us on October 12, from 1-4, at Womble Park in Holly Springs, NC, for an afternoon of music, an inflatable slide, a touch-a-truck experience featuring local emergency vehicles, ice cream, and the opportunity to meet some of the adoptable animals from Second Chance. This family-friendly event is free of charge, and all donations made through this GoFundMe will go directly to Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Your contribution will help give animals a second chance at a happy life, just as Owen brought so much happiness to everyone who knew him.
We hope you can join us in celebrating Owen's memory and supporting a cause that reflects the joy he embodied. Thank you for helping us turn this time of sorrow into a tribute to Owen’s spirit and a meaningful gift to the community.
