In Memory of Our Sweet Mama, Jenny

Jennifer Deanna Mattocks was our mom. She passed suddenly and unexpectedly on October 28 2021. She did not have any kind of will or funds set aside and as the oldest child of hers, I am trying to raise funds so we can give our beautiful mama the celebration of life she deserves.

 

Jenny was only 54 years old when she passed and she is survived by her life partner, Scott Leslie and her children, JoAnna, Sarah, Samantha and Skyler. She was a wonderful Grandma to Dean (14), Ava (13), Violet (12), Layla (11), Dylan (9), Giovani (7), Carter (3), Oliver (2), Cairo (1), and Liam (10 months). She was very proud of her children and her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was watching them grow.

 

She is so loved by so many. She helped so many people around her in any way she could. She was great at working with children, the elderly and with those that have special needs. She spent her free time crafting and making things for her children and grandchildren. She was also an amazing writer and artist. She instilled a love of reading in each of her children. She loved all kinds of music and she could often be found rocking out while cleaning. She had a sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. She had a love of coffee that knew no limits. She was a very spiritual person and loved learning about other religions and cultures. She was a fan of “The Office” and loved to watch reruns. Her laugh was infectious and she always smelled of coffee, cover girl powder, Clinique Happy and a small dose of cigarette smoke.

 

She was able to leave her children and grandchildren with wonderful memories of doing crafts, making gingerbread houses, baking cookies, baking gooey butter cake, cooking, duck pond trips, playground trips, library trips, and always being spoiled on their birthdays and holidays. Her love language was definitely gifting. She loved to spend time picking out perfect little things for everyone’s gifts. She always got everyone a gift. No one would leave empty handed when you came to visit.

 

She taught us many things and for that we will be forever grateful. She spirit lives on and we are comforted knowing she is currently the best version of herself she could be, an angel. We love you Mom, Mama, Mamacita.
