Hi everyone. For those who don't know me or my family, there is one person that should be known and that would be my grandma Barbara Dean Mesa. She was a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter, a teacher, and lover to all forms of life.

My grandma recently passed away on the 13th of November from a deadly infection. Prior to this, she had recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, one that is incurable at her stage, but she had decided to take a go at chemotherapy. It wasn't her mind that didn't want to fight; it was her body.

My grandma was a fighter, she was faithful, and she remained strong not for herself but for those around her. She is the most selfless person that I have had the privilege of being raised by. She was everyone's biggest cheerleader and had the kindest heart to anyone around. She was patient, understanding, stubborn at times, but she did know best. As this time has been incredibly hard for my family and me, she was the heart holding us all together, we are putting her to rest in peace and in a way that she would have wanted.

During this hard time my family and I are reaching out for help in finances as we will put it towards the medical costs from her last visit to the hospital and towards her funeral arrangement and memorial costs.

Donations are not something that my family and I ask for, and something my grandma typically wouldn't either. However, this is a very difficult time financially and the donations from this GoFundMe will be tremendously helpful. A share, a comment, a like; something to be able to spread this story and honor my grandma in the best way we possibly can.
