In Loving Memory of Our Nana, Leonida Castillo
On June 22, 2021 we unexpectedly lost our beloved Nana, Leonida Castillo due to a pedestrian-car accident in Kalihi. She leaves behind her 3 daughters, Celia, Yolie and Maribel and her loving and generous sister grandma Dolly. Nana was the most humble, hard working woman we know. She was 82 years old and still employed at United Laundry. She was expected to return to work next month (July) after this whole pandemic occurred. Nana never put herself first. She always took care of everyone else before her but now all of that is gone. Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids can’t see her again or get one more hug from her due to someone’s incompetence!
Nana was on her way home crossing the road (walking in the marked crosswalk with her right of way) until a woman hit her on N.King and Umi Street. Our nana didn’t deserve to leave us this way. She was so strong for her age and never complained about anything. At this time we are seeking for help. As nana is currently with the medical examiners for pending investigation due to her crash, I/we are seeking for help that can help Nana have a comfortable and beautiful funeral service she at least deserves. Losing her so soon and so unexpected shook us and we’re still trying to accept that she was taken from us in this way. All we want is to celebrate her life and bring her home back to the Philippines like she would have wanted. At this point, anything will help. Even your continuous prayers Any form of help will go towards her funeral service, getting her back home to the Philippines as well as helping her 2/3 daughters fly with her and get Nana comfortable and laid to rest with her 2 beloved sons and our beloved Tata♥️ We appreciate and thank you all of you for everything! We love each and everyone of you and for loving Nana ♥️♥️♥️
Rest in Peace Nana! We love you so much and we miss you even more ♥️♥️♥️
