Hello,

Our names are Jesse and Rachel, recently celebrating our wedding day.

Sadly, we both lost our dads within a year of each other; mine suddenly to a stroke and Rachel's due to an aggressive form of brain cancer.

To honour my Dad and Kevin, and to keep their presence close, we decided to buzz our hair on our wedding day as a symbol of strength, love and solidarity with others affected by these illnesses.

Instead of traditional gifts, we’re asking for donations to two causes that mean the world to us - to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canada and to Winchester Hospice in the UK, where they took great care for Rachel's Dad in his final weeks.

Your support will help others facing similar challenges and allow us to celebrate our wedding in a way that truly reflects the love and strength our dads gave us. Every donation, big or small, means so much and helps to fund vital care and research.
